Environmental Services Position

Environmental Services is a fancy medical term for the housekeeping/custodial/janitorial department in a hospital setting. We need an energetic person to join our team full-time! What we are looking for:

Details:

• Full-time evenings, 4:30p - 1a
• Weekends shifts every other weekend

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility is to provide a clean, sanitary, and pleasant hospital environment. Requires working in all areas of the facility or wherever assigned. Other responsibilities include daily documentation of work assignments and area completed, documenting patient care/non-patient care hours worked, and assisting in working with new employees and sharing knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Prefer high school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Previous housekeeping experience helpful.
• Must be able to follow oral or written instructions.
• Knowledge and ability to use cleaning equipment.
• Must have a helpful, caring attitude.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to work in a latex-burdened environment.
• Must be capable of lifting to 50 lbs., reach, pull, stoop, and bend.
• Demonstrates adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, in order to record information and read labels accurately to prepare cleaning solutions.
• Able to verbally communicate effectively. Must have adequate perception of sounds or adequate hearing with corrections.
