SERVPRO Team Drake is looking for Fire & Contents Restoration TechniciansIn this role, you'll help families and businesses recover after fires, water damage, and other unexpected property losses.
This isn't your typical cleaning position. Our technicians work directly on restoration projects—carefully packing and protecting customers' belongings, cleaning and restoring contents, assisting with structural cleaning, documenting items, and helping return homes and businesses to their pre-loss condition.
No restoration experience? That's okay. We're willing to train motivated candidates who have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
What You'll DoAs a Fire & Contents Restoration Technician, your responsibilities may include:
- Contents Pack-Outs & Pack-Backs: Carefully photograph, document, wrap, pack, box, move, and transport customers' belongings for cleaning, storage, or return.
- Contents Cleaning & Restoration: Clean and restore furniture, household goods, personal belongings, and other items affected by fire, smoke, soot, water, or odor.
- Structural Cleaning: Assist with detailed cleaning of walls, ceilings, floors, fixtures, and other affected areas using SERVPRO-approved products, techniques, and specialized equipment.
- Inventory & Documentation: Help photograph, inventory, label, and track customer contents using SERVPRO documentation systems.
- Loading & Transportation: Safely load and unload contents, equipment, cleaning products, and supplies from company vehicles.
- Jobsite Preparation: Set up work areas, protect unaffected surfaces, organize equipment, and prepare rooms for restoration services.
- Customer Care: Treat customers, their homes, businesses, and personal belongings with professionalism, care, and respect.
- Teamwork: Communicate with supervisors, coordinators, and fellow technicians to keep projects organized and moving efficiently
We're looking for people who are reliable, hardworking, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Previous restoration, cleaning, moving, packing, warehouse, construction, or contents experience is helpful—but not required for the right candidate.
Qualifications- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Cleaning, restoration, moving, warehouse experience is a plus
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and respect for customers' belongings
- Ability to communicate professionally with coworkers, supervisors, and customers
- Willingness to learn new restoration techniques, equipment, and documentation systems
- Ability to work around cleaning products and restoration chemicals
This is an active, hands-on position. Candidates must be able to:
- Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Occasionally move heavier items with assistance
- Push, pull, lift, carry, pack, and move items repeatedly throughout the workday
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work for extended periods
- Climb ladders and work at varying heights when required
- Work in environments affected by fire, smoke, soot, water, and other property damage
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required
