Job Duties /Responsibilities
- Draws blood competently, consistently and expediently with as little patient discomfort as possible.
- Identifies the patient using the two-unique identifiers described in the hospital’s policy before services are provided.
- Records phlebotomy requisitions on log.
- Displays courteous, professional manner towards patients, co-workers, nursing and medical staff.

Qualifications
EDUCTION/EXPERIENCE: Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Phlebotomy Certificate program required. At least 6 months of active phlebotomy and specimen collection experience is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification highly desired.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Current Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification through National Healthcare Association (NHA).
