HIRING IMMEDIATELY: METAL POLISHER TECHNICIAN IN STREAMWOOD, IL
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Metal Polisher Technician to join our team in Streamwood, Illinois. This individual will be responsible for using a variety of abrasives and tools to safely and efficiently grind and polish materials. The ideal candidate will be capable of learning and efficiently performing multiple functions throughout the polishing department.
Pay, Schedule, and Location- Starting at 18 – $23/hour, paid weekly
- Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
- 6am – 3pm (Monday – Thursday), 6am – 12pm (Fridays)
- Located in Streamwood, Illinois
- Must be capable of using a variety of abrasives and tools to safely and efficiently grind and polish materials
- Capable of bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, crawling, climbing, lifting,carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching/working overhead and standing for long periods of time while performing physically demanding repetitive job tasks
- Must be capable of learning and efficiently performing multiple functions throughout the polishing department including but not limited to grinding and polishing stainless steel parts and equipment
- Capable of regular lifting randomly sized items up to 60 pounds
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Capable of working independently and within a team focused work group with minimal supervision
- 1 – 2 years of experience in metal polishing
- Ability to read blueprints
- Knowledge with Baykal, HK and Amada
- Use a variety of methods, abrasives, air powered tools and equipment to safely and efficiently grind and polish metal materials to meet required results
- Familiarity with using stroke and orbital sander, bench, angle and die grinder, disc master, time saver, deburring and sand blaster
- Polish components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
- Perform light maintenance on air powered tools to maintain maximum tool efficiency and report equipment faults for repairs
- Responsible for perform QA checks on work to ensure product specifications are quality maintained
