Position: RN MANAGER - BEHAVIORAL HEALTH

$10,000 Sign-On/Retention Bonus

The Nurse Manager is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of consumer care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and facility policy, goals and objectives. This position assists in contributing to the facility’s philosophy, objectives, education, and quality improvement efforts, while providing supervision to the nursing staff assigned to the unit. The Nurse Manager is responsible for ensuring appropriate nursing coverage for the unit and may occasionally serve as the Charge Nurse.

Responsibilities

The Nurse Manager is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of consumer care in accordance with established standards of care, mental health practice and facility policy, goals and objectives. The role includes supervision of nursing staff, ensuring appropriate coverage, and, when necessary, assuming Charge Nurse duties.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in a psychiatric/mental health field.
  • Minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience.

Licensure:
Current RN license to practice by the Illinois State Board of Nursing. Primary Source Verification shall be required through Illinois Department of Professional Regulations.
