Job DescriptionThe Custodian is responsible for all custodial needs of the Community Center, Auditorium, Public Works Campus, Library, City Hall and Fort Meade Concession Stands (both private and public space), including but not limited to overall appearance and housekeeping, cleaning and/or sanitizing the restrooms, locker rooms, frequently touched surfaces and the building, trash pick- up and removal. This position is also responsible for event set-up/tear-down at the Community Center and Auditorium.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Prior custodial or building maintenance experience preferred
- Operate vacuum, floor scrubber, and polisher
- Able to lift up and move up to 50lbs regularly
- This position is physically demanding and regular use of cleaning chemicals is required
- This position works nights and weekends.
