Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Regional Facilities Maintenance team member. This role will collaborate with our management teams, responsible for performance of the day-day maintenance operations of the physical lead and grounds of the residential and commercial property(ies). These responsibilities will be performed in a manner consistent with the policies of Metro Plains under the direct supervision of the VP of Maintenance.
Summary of
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ability to work independently, to organize work, to establish priorities, to follow defined procedures, and to follow through in the completion of tasks.
Ensure that work completed represents Metro Plains Managements culture.
Oversee and occasionally assist in the completion of assigned service requests of the maintenance team related to repairs and upkeep of properties. This includes areas of heating, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, flooring, and other general repairs. Recommending replacement or repair, as necessary. Ensure that all work completed is professional and clean.
Ensure that the required safety equipment is being used correctly.
Provide ongoing input on continued property improvements for budget consideration. Participate in site meetings as needed.
Ensure the attractive internal and external appearance of all buildings and grounds, which may include removing debris and weeds and reporting maintenance needs.
Participate in ongoing training to build and maintain knowledge and skills required for the position.
Provide training and support for other Maintenance Technicians on more complex maintenance tasks as requested.
May give work direction to other maintenance technicians and provide input regarding hiring decisions and performance appraisals upon the Maintenance Directors request.
Complete special projects.
Travel to other sites and/or locations may be required.
Must possess a positive attitude and a can-do attitude.
Other duties as assigned.
Other Duties and Responsibilities Must have own hand tools, a valid driver's license, vehicle, and vehicle insurance.
Must be willing to learn and utilize electronic work systems.
Normal work hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, although actual hours vary by location.
May be required to work extended hours and weekends when needed.

Education & Experience Associate degree or equivalent education with three to four years related experience and/or training preferred, or a combination of relevant work experience and education is required.
Proof of any current certification/licenses in one or more of the following areas: HVAC, EPA Universal, Boilers License and/or Pool Certification.
Ability to provide training and support on-site to other maintenance team members.
Demonstrated support for Metro Plains Management maintenance procedures and policies.
Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate to a diverse group of people.
A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player.
Customer service skills are highly desirable.
