Overview
The Maintenance Technician is a critical team member directly responsible for the repair, upkeep and preventative maintenance for an assigned group of Spotless Brands locations. This individual travels daily providing routine scheduled maintenance and completing unscheduled breakdown repairs. This position ensures any other facility issues are addressed within the assigned area are completed properly and in a safe and timely manner.
EssentialFunctions
Essential Functions (Other Duties as Assigned)
- Repair, service, test and troubleshoot carwash equipment
- Ensures maximum uptime for sites through regular preventative maintenance activities
- Installs and/or supports new equipment installation in sites
- Efficiently manages time to ensure completion for assigned tasks are within stated guidelines based on severity of issue
- Coaches site personnel on the identification and reporting of car wash equipment performance and facility issues
- Manages parts inventory needed to keep sites operational at peak effectiveness
- Maintains company provided vehicle through safe driving practices and adherence to maintenance requirements
- Ensures all facility related issues are addressed within assigned sites
- Other duties as required
Required:
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Completion of Industrial Maintenance apprenticeship a plus
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations as it pertains to the role of Maintenance Technician
- Minimum two years’ experience in a comprehensive maintenance role, ideally in an industrial or car wash setting
- Demonstrated experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and plumbing
- Able to pass background check to operate company provided vehicle for servicing sites, maintaining a driver’s license and a good driving record at all times
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Self-starter—able to work independently without direct supervision
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-moving
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to effectively relate and communicate with team members at all levels
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, twist, perform repetitive motions, see variations in color, and climb and work from ladders
- The availability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and on-call hours
- Able to be active outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions
- 80-100% travel, primarily day travel within assigned region
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
