Housekeeper, Maintenance​/Cleaning

Terra Bella Senior Living is looking for a Housekeeper to join our community, Benton House of Sugar Hill.

• Perform cleaning duties according to schedule (daily, weekly, monthly) in assigned areas such as apartment homes, common areas, lounges, and offices.
• Sweep, dust, mop, and wet mop all floors and stairways; spot clean and vacuum floors, rugs, carpets, and runners. Rotate runners in hallways and entryways.
• Clean, sanitize, and polish lavatory, shower, and sink fixtures and facilities; stock dispensers as necessary.
• Scrub bath and shower room tiles, woodwork, window frames, and sills.
• Maintain equipment and materials needed to perform work in a clean and orderly condition.
• Collect trash and refuse from work areas and place them in designated pick‑up areas.
• Collect, clean, and redistribute the community laundry.
• Maintain the commercial laundry in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition.
• Store cleaning chemicals in a locked area when not in use.
• Keep cords, carts, equipment, and other hazards out of the way at all times, not blocking exits and in compliance with fire codes.
• Report needed repairs, supply, and equipment needs to the Lead Housekeeper.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in the primary language of the residents.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Demonstrated interest in working with a senior population.
• Interact with guests, residents, and staff in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Require standing, walking, and using hands and arms with regularity.
• Require climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling frequently, with occasional sitting.
• Require regular lifting of up to 10 pounds, frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
