South Mountain Healthcare is looking for a Per Diem Housekeeping person to join their team!

Responsibilities
  • Maintains the delivery of quality Housekeeping/Laundry services.
  • Receives and follows housekeeping schedule/instructions as assigned.
  • Performs specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
  • Cleans floors to include sweeping, dusting damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, disinfecting, etc.

    NOTE:

    Ensures that appropriate caution/safety signs are properly set up prior to performing such duties.
  • Cleans carpets, to include vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting.
  • Cleans walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning disinfecting, deodorizing, etc.
  • Removes dirt, dust grease, film, etc. from surfaces using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions.
  • Replaces cubicle curtains as assigned.
  • Discards waste/trash into proper containers and relines trash receptacles with plastic liner.
  • Ensures that work/assignment areas including resident, non-resident, areas, porter closets, and housekeeping storage rooms are clean and that equipment, tools, supplies, etc. are properly stored at all times, as well as before leaving such areas for breaks, meal times, and end of the workday.
  • Discards infectious wastes/sharps containers into appropriate containers.
  • Performs unscheduled Housekeeping/Laundry tasks as directed.
Maintain equipment and housekeeping supplies
  • Ensures housekeeping supplies have been replenished in work areas as necessary.
  • Keeps immediate supervisor informed of supply needs.
  • Ensures that the facility and its equipment is properly maintained for resident safety, comfort and convenience.
  • Reports equipment malfunctions or breakdowns to supervisor as soon as possible.
  • Follows established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies.
  • Assists others in lifting heavy equipment, supplies, etc., as directed or requested.
Qualifications
  • Must have 2-year experience in healthcare facilities.
Schedule and Compensation
  • Weekends are required.
  • Pay is $15.92/hr.
