Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Responsibilities:- Use of building automation systems to oversee and modify HVAC systems, conduct regular inspections, and perform preventative maintenance
- Wiring fixtures, as well as maintenance/testing of smoke detectors, knowledge of fire alarms, receptacles, switches, light fixtures, fuses, and circuit breakers.
- Replacing plumbing fixtures, baseboard units, and valves; cleaning drains; installing/replacing toilets and sinks.
- Manage all facility-related vendors, addressing escalated issues, and monitor the quality of work performed by contracted cleaning services
- Able to perform all aspects of maintenance, such as plumbing, painting, carpentry, and electrical.
- Preparing units for turnover.
- Perform all event set-ups and break-downs for school functions
- All Other duties as needed or assigned
- 5+ years of experience in maintenance or facilities management, preferably in a school setting.
- Experience in general building repairs (plumbing, electrical, etc.)
- Participate in on-call rotation to ensure 24-hour emergency maintenance service and response
- Previous job experience:
Property Maintenance, Contractors, Construction workers, hotel management maintenance - Ability to lift, bend, and pull more than 50 pounds.
- Proficiency with power tools, facility-related equipment, and general carpentry/handyman work (e.g., repairing/replacing door hardware, painting).
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Experience using work order systems (preferred)
