Position Overview
Join a leading real estate organization focused on high-quality residential communities and resident experiences. This role supports a well-maintained, ultra-luxury residential building in Summit, NJ, with a strong emphasis on service, presentation, and attention to detail.
The Maintenance Associate will work as part of a professional, hands‑on maintenance team in a well‑maintained residential environment. The position offers a mix of daily building maintenance, apartment turns, preventative maintenance, and resident service.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of maintenance experience; residential experience preferred
- Experience with work orders, apartment turns, painting, cleaning, and preventative maintenance
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Yardi or similar software
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Organized with good time management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable and punctual; able to work overtime and participate in rotating on‑call coverage
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions
- Complete maintenance service requests and routine repairs in a timely manner
- Perform apartment turns, including make‑ready, cleaning, painting, and general repairs
- Conduct daily inspections and report maintenance, safety, security, and cleanliness issues
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, door hardware, and general building repairs
- Maintain common areas, amenities, grounds, building exteriors, and parking areas
- Assist with preventative maintenance, snow removal, landscaping, and seasonal maintenance
- Maintain inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies
- Document work orders and maintenance activities using applicable software
Provide professional customer service to residents and building staff - Assist with other maintenance projects and duties as needed
