This opportunity is working directly with a leading mission‑critical data center developer / wholesaler / colo provider that provides custom‑fit solutions for many of the world’s largest organizations. We are looking for a Data Center Facility Engineer to support a critical data center. The Critical Facility Engineer will monitor compliance with contractual commitments, direct technical and administrative tasks related to the operation of critical facility infrastructure, and ensure compliance with the company’s policies and procedures. The data center operates 24/7/365.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and run diagnostics, conduct preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on critical facilities equipment within the data center as specified and on schedule.
- Prepare analyses and reports on the data center infrastructure, develop project plans, and conduct briefings and presentations.
- Partner with sub‑contractors and vendors when necessary.
- Operate and perform routine and emergency service on a variety of state‑of‑the‑art critical systems, including low/medium voltage switch gear, diesel generators, paralleling switchboards, UPS, PDU, and building monitoring systems.
- Ensure that operational, maintenance, and emergency methods of procedure (MOPs and SOPs) are developed and strictly adhered to.
- Assist with CMMS database management.
- At least 5 years of relevant technical knowledge and practical experience in critical facilities operations with electrical and mechanical/HVAC equipment such as UPS, generators, switchgears, PDU, CRAC units, DC power systems, CRAH units, chillers, air‑handling units, computer‑grade cooling systems, and building monitoring/control systems.
- Experience operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining mission‑critical mechanical and/or electrical support systems.
- Military or veterans experience with electrical/military mechanical operations is a huge plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with various computer systems and applications.
