High School Graduate. Must hold a high school diploma and valid SC License. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate.
Performance responsibilities- Examine school grounds, including athletic facilities, on a regular basis for needed improvement.
- Remain current on issues and successful practices associated with ground maintenance.
- Attend all required training.
- Operate various types of lawn machinery in a productive and safe manner and provide low level maintenance as needed.
- Train new grounds staff on the productive and safe use of machinery.
- Be able to work outside for eight (8) hours a day (flexible schedule as may be required) and lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.

EvaluationPerformance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of Sumter School District policy.
