About The Role
This position will be responsible for maintaining the facilities and infrastructure of a chilled water plant. The role reports to the Facilities Manager and ensures reliability and efficiency of operations. It is a day shift position with after‑hours calls during the week and weekends if needed.
What You’ll Do- Direct and support the Maintenance staff, providing coaching and both positive and negative feedback.
- Maintain maintenance KPIs to ZT standards (MTBF, MTTR, PM completions, downtime reports, slack time reports and project status).
- Schedule repairs and PM schedules with production leadership.
- Maintain inventory min/max levels.
- Work with mechanical contractors for rebuilds.
- Critique and improve SOPs to increase maintenance performance.
- Manage continuous improvement and capital projects.
- Associate's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent education/experience;
Bachelor's degree preferred. - 2-5+ years of relevant work experience.
- 0-1 years of experience in maintenance leadership.
- Experience with automation and robotic recovery is required.
- Experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Experience in team building, coaching and succession planning for technicians.
- Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Lean manufacturing experience.
- Ability to communicate in technical terms with skilled labor.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and building code.
- Basic knowledge of OSHA code.
- HVAC‑R knowledge.
- Cooling tower knowledge.
- Electrical up to 480
VAC 3‑phase. - Basic knowledge of motor controls.
- Experience with employee portals systems (timecard, performance reviews).
- Good knowledge of CMMS systems.
- Good preventative/predictive skills.
- MS Office software applications proficiency.
- A Shift – Sunday to Wednesday;
Sunday to Tuesday (7a‑7p). - B Shift – Sunday to Wednesday;
Sunday to Tuesday (7p‑7a). - D Shift – Thursday to Saturday;
Wednesday to Saturday (7p‑7a).
