Job Overview
District Custodian – 2nd shift at Big Walnut Middle School.
ResponsibilitiesThe custodian will maintain a clean and safe environment for students and staff, demonstrating a positive rapport with both. Responsibilities include cleaning, maintenance of building facilities, and handling custodial appliances and equipment. Duties also involve the use and maintenance of plumbing systems, alarm systems, lock sets, and computer applications as required.
Qualifications- Current clear BCI/FBI background checks, dated within the year preceding employment.
- Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for custodial work and ability to work with minimal direct supervision.
- Positive rapport with students and staff.
- Preferred knowledge and certification in plumbing, alarm systems, lock sets, and computer use.
- Reliability, team‑work capability, and ability to follow instructions and attend duties reliably.
