Job Summary
The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of facility infrastructure. This role focuses on routine inspections, preventive maintenance, basic repairs, and coordination with third-party vendors to ensure the facility remains functional and compliant. Facility Maintenance Technicians play a key role in supporting daily operations by addressing issues related to the physical environment.
Essential Job Functions
- Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
- Report, document, and resolve maintenance issues using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Perform hands-on maintenance work and basic repairs related to building systems and fixtures.
- Assist with minor repairs involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems within assigned responsibilities and training.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance requests.
- Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies, materials, and tools; complete required daily reports through CMMS.
- Coordinate and oversee third-party vendors during installations, repairs, or maintenance activities.
- Define scopes of work for vendors, including tasks, timelines, and expected outcomes.
- Conduct site inspections and walk-throughs to monitor progress and identify issues during maintenance or facility projects.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, project updates, and any issues encountered.
- Follow established safety policies and procedures at all times.

Required Education
- Associate's degree.
Required Experience
- Proven experience (2+ years) as maintenance or facilities technician.
Required Licenses and Certifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations.
- Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating, plumbing, etc.)
- Intermediate to advanced computers skills required in Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
- Understanding of budgeting and performance management.
- Eagle eye for details.
- Paint and drywall finishing.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills.
- Well-organized and apt in problem-solving.
- Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment.
