Hourly Rate: $19.00-$22.00 + $1.50 per hour for shift differential PAID WEEKLY
Major Responsibilities- Monitor facility activities to promote a safe work environment.
- Preventative maintenance and repair of conveyor system.
- Preventative maintenance of industrial fork lift batteries.
- Keep Manager informed of operational issues and/or problems.
- Communicate with Leaders and associates of work to be performed and/or status of equipment; perform necessary equipment adjustments, repairs, modifications, and/or preventative maintenance as appropriate;
Observe and/or test the adjustments, repairs, or modifications to ensure safe operation;
Notify affected Leaders. - Understand and demonstrate Essendant’s Values and Safety Accountabilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ability to perform all required tasks within the scope of Maintenance Associate 1
- Perform required tasks and functions in accordance with applicable Standard Operating Procedures, rules, and established processes.
- Ability to be trained and certified on PIT equipment.
- Ability to pass NFPA 70E Standards for Electrical Safety Arc Flash training.
- Must be able to utilize job specific technology (email and CMMS on a computer or tablet).
- Maintain, organize, and support issued equipment and tools.
- Perform all tasks in a safe manner, following all safety rules and guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist with housekeeping of the facility/work area.
- Assist in other Distribution Center functions, as required.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Must possess problem solving skills.
- Ability to apply specialized skill training to make decisions and recommendations.
