Position Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Chief Steward, Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, or Manager, F&B, this position is responsible for the cleanliness of all kitchen areas, culinary equipment and utensils including all dishes, glasses and cookware, maintaining all company standards and adhering to all safety and hygiene policies and procedures while contributing to a safe and welcome work environment for all team members.
Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadians learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities
Organizes, rinses, sprays and loads dishwasher; washes by hand if necessaryExamines completed loads for cleanliness; re-washes if necessaryReports any malfunctions, breakage or discrepancies to the appropriate mana gerStores all clean items in the appropriate areaSorts and removes garbage and recyclingCleans all general kitchen areas including floors, counters and workspaces; may clean general or common areas in some locationsAssists with the receipt of goods into the work area; stock shelvesPrepares some food products as requestedLiaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departmentsDevelops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership and team membersEnsures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulationsPerforms other duties as assigned or directedEducation and Qualifications
High School DiplomaMinimum 6 months of work experienceFood Safety CertificationAbility to successfully obtain a Gaming LicenseAbility to exceed internal customer expectation s through timely, effective and service oriented communicationWork Environment Considerations
Regular kitchen environment, standing and walking for long periods of time, major exposure to heat, cold, steam, noise, odors, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stretching, bending, some exposure to fumes, smoke, chemicals, risk of minor cuts and burns, non-traditional work hours
