CWI Inspector

Position Overview

This position will be handling visual field work primarily on fabrication welds for natural gas pipelines and process piping. This is a full‑time position with benefits and PTO.

Must be a US citizen
* and a legal citizen authorized to work in the US. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

$1,500.00 sign‑on bonus. This is a local position in Syracuse, NY.

• Perform internal and external inspections to determine if items under inspection meet the acceptance criteria of a specific code, standard or document.
• Conduct inspections on equipment at scheduled intervals to maintain the mechanical integrity of the equipment as qualified and assigned.
• Properly interpret regulations, codes, and industry standards.

The pay range for this position is $35 to $45 per hour depending on level of certifications. The pay range is a general guideline only for states that enforce pay transparency and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include the responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, certifications, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in a related field.

• 2 or more mechanical/professional certifications: API 653, AWS, NACE, etc.
• 1 mechanical/professional certification: CWI required.
• Must meet minimum company requirements to operate a company vehicle and be eligible for coverage under company insurance program.
