We’re actively seeking a Field Service Technician to deliver amazing experiences and elevated efficiency within the routine maintenance of Canon‑supported products in accordance with Service and Parts Standards.
Responsibilities- Report product failure trends and serviceability issues to your manager with accurate documentation and record keeping.
- Meet customer demands by providing efficient, responsive, and accurate field, shop, or on‑site maintenance.
- Properly maintain all technical information, Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property assigned.
- Showcase strong customer communication and satisfaction skills.
- Maintain the performance of assigned machines.
- Facilitate performance at a level that helps the branch/district achieve its overall metric targets.
- Hold a high school diploma or equivalent experience (required).
- Possess a basic understanding of internet environments and the ability to successfully complete the 120‑day introductory period and the PDIF (Printing and Digital Imaging Foundations) new‑hire class.
- Ability to travel (valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required).
- Required to obtain any security or other clearances necessary for customer premises entry.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be active more than 50 percent of the time (walking, standing, stooping/kneeling).
- Comply with customer policies and protocols, including any COVID‑19 vaccination requirements if applicable.
$19.00 – $26.31 per hour.
Job DetailsFull‑time, on‑site at assigned office/worksite/territory. The position requires service to clients within the Rochester and Syracuse, NY areas.
