To provide students, staff and visitors with a safe, attractive and sanitary environment inside and outside of the facility.

• Responsible for routine custodial duties in all areas of the building
• Respond to spills, accidents, etc. that require immediate custodial attention
• Responsible for cleaning light fixtures and changing bulbs
• Responsible for anticipating supply needs and reporting them to the Head Custodian
• Responsible for maintaining custodial closets in a clean and orderly condition
• Responsible for providing assistance to maintenance personnel when directed
• Perform related or special tasks as assigned by the Head Custodian and School Administrator
• During the summer months, school breaks or in the event of an emergency all custodial employees are subject to call for routine or emergency duties in the building other than their regular assignment
• If working the daytime shift, responsible for snow removal from the exterior entry door areas and exterior sidewalks out to the curb; spread sand, salt or other chemicals to prevent slipping
• Perform general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting and moving materials
• Promote an environment free of harassment and discrimination
• Demonstrate a commitment to work
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
• Demonstrate good judgment and common sense
• Available to work additional hours and/or be on call as required to meet the needs of the position
• Other duties may be assigned
