We are hiring an entry-level technician to wash and detail vehicles in our shuttle fleet.

This position will be in Syracuse, NY, on the grounds at the New York State Fair. You will work 10am‑2pm shifts and can choose 5 days, 3 days, or 2 days per week.

Staff will hand‑wash, vacuum, sweep, clean windows, and wash vehicles during winter months.

Base pay: $18 per hour.

• Cleans and refurbishes new and used automobiles, performing any combination of the following duties:
  Washes vehicle exterior to clean cars, using cleaning solution, water, cloths, and brushes.
• Applies wax to auto body, and wipes or buffs surfaces to protect surfaces and preserve shine, using a cloth or buffing machine.
• Vacuum interiors of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris, using a vacuum cleaner.
• Cleans upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices.
• Applies revitalizers and preservatives to vinyl or leather surfaces, and treats fabrics with spot and stain-resistant chemicals to preserve and protect interior components.
• Applies special-purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which do not respond to normal cleaning procedures, utilizing experience and following recommendations of the product manufacturer.
• Must be able to understand formulas in order to mix cleaning solutions, paints, and other chemicals.
• The ability to operate cleaning equipment is essential must know how to efficiently operate hand tools or power tools and follow the safety policies.
• Maintain an organized working area.
• Be organized and able to follow schedules and management directions.
