Medical Gas Mechanic

Full-Time position at Crouse Health, located in Syracuse, NY (non-clinical). Availability: 7:00am-3:30pm and other shifts as needed.

Pay Range: $21.93 - $40.09 hourly based on experience.

• Professionally perform ongoing preventative maintenance and repair of all hospital Medical Gas Equipment and Systems, including pumps, skids, med gas lines, filters, tanks, fittings, etc.
• Maintain a working knowledge of and comply with AHJ requirements regarding certifications/testing of med gas systems.
• Proactively identify faulty equipment and complete necessary repairs in a timely and organized manner.
• Consistently maintain a tidy work area and ensure it is clean and ready for use upon work order completion.
• Maintain the hospital’s compressed air system.

• High school Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have a valid New York State driver’s license.
• Must be certified in ASSE 6020 (Medical Gas Inspection) and 6040 (Systems Maintenance) upon date of initial employment and must maintain these certifications throughout employment.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a plumber with a mechanical background.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience with a Hospital/Healthcare setting.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 99.
