Day Porter to support the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our apartment community. This individual will be responsible not only formaintainingpublic and shared areas but also forassistingwith light maintenance tasks that help keep the property running smoothly.

You’recomfortable working independently or occasionally with a team, andyou’realways ready to lend a hand with small repair or maintenance tasks as needed.

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, andmaintaincleanliness of all interior and exteriorcommon areas, including:

• Entrances, hallways, vestibules, and stairwells

• Laundry rooms, community rooms, and leasing office (if applicable)

• Public restrooms and glass surfaces (mirrors, doors, etc.)

• Sanitize high-touch surfaces such as door handles, handrails, and elevator buttons

• Ensure allcommon areasare tidy, safe, and presentable throughout the day

• Pick up litter and debris from sidewalks, landscaping beds, parking areas, and dumpster enclosures

• Remove trash from interior receptacles andtransportto dumpsters

• Sweep walkways, curbs, and outdoor gathering spaces

• Help with the cleaning of recently vacated apartments to prepare them for move-in

• Tasks may include dusting, wiping down surfaces, and general sanitation of kitchens and bathrooms

• Perform simple maintenance duties such as:

• Changing light bulbs and batteries in smoke detectors

• Unclogging minor drain blockages

• Tightening loose fixtures or doorknobs

• Reportingmajor issues(plumbing leaks, electrical hazards, appliance failures) to the maintenance team

• Assist with seasonal maintenance like snow/ice removal or minor landscaping work as directed

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• 1+ year of janitorial, porter, or custodial experience preferred

• Somebasic maintenance knowledge orhandymanexperienceis a plus

• Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to cleanliness and upkeep

• Must be able tolift, carry, push, or pull up to 25-30lbs

• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods, including bending, reaching, and climbing stairs

• Mustbe comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions

• Familiarity with basic cleaning supplies and equipment; understanding of safe chemical usage

• Able to communicate clearly in English for safety and resident interaction

• Professional, reliable, and courteous when interacting with staff, residents, and vendors

• Knowledge of basic tools (screwdriver, pliers,plunger, etc.)

• Understanding of general property maintenance orpreviouswork in residential communities

• OSHA safety knowledge or willingness to learn
