Judson Park in Des Moines, WA, a Human Good community nationally rated as Best Independent Living and Best Memory Care of by U.S News & World Report, is looking for a motivated Custodian to join our team!
Under general supervision, the Custodian is responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior of the community per established policies, procedures, company standards of quality, cleanliness, resident satisfaction, safety and security and regulatory agency requirements. The Custodian demonstrates and promotes service excellence and patient confidentiality at all times.
Full Time Evening shift, Monday - Friday from 3:30PM - 11:30PM
Full Time NOC shift, Tuesday - Saturday from 11PM - 7AM
Part Time Evening shift, Saturday - Sunday from 3:30PM - 11:30PM
Pay Range: $ per hour, depending on experience
Shift Differential: $1.25 per hour for qualifying NOC shift hours (11PM - 7AM)
Job Duties:
- Strips, seals, waxes and buffs floor surfaces and performs daily floor maintenance; cleans and shampoos carpets;
- May clean common areas, including public restrooms, elevators, offices, public rooms, beauty salon, resident and employee lounges; dusts, sanitizes and scrubs; wheelchairs and other furniture;
- Empties trash receptacles; may deposit recyclable material in proper receptacles; picks up trash and keeps exterior perimeter clean;
- Pushes a utility cart or drives an electric cart in order to transport tools, materials, supplies and equipment; may assist residents with moving;
- Perform event set‑ups and tear‑downs
- Conducts work tasks safely and in compliance with the facility safety program;
- Promotes and protects the rights of each resident;
- Performs other related work as required.
To be successful in the role, you would have:
- Strong communication and time management skills required
- One year of experience in a custodial or housekeeping position required
- Two or more years of experience in a custodial or housekeeping position preferred
- Experience working in a senior living facility or hospital preferred
- High school diploma required
