Facilities Specialist

Compensation: $25.00 - $28.95 / hour
DescriptionOur Facilities Specialist is responsible for ensuring that buildings and facilities meet the needs of employees, maintaining health and safety standards, and managing preventative and reactive maintenance. The role involves oversight of safety, security, and general upkeep to support a safe working environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Assist with equipment and facility repairs and monitor equipment performance; maintaining adequate equipment inventory
- Maintain facility grounds, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment
- Navigate and utilize CMMS platform for tracking, logging, and completing all tasks
- Schedule vehicle maintenance, tracking and documenting all maintenance activities
- Test and check all systems, fluids, hardware, and software consistently and regularly
- Report safety and quality concerns regarding warehouse facility, equipment, and inventory to supervisor and/or manager
- Assist in performing repairs, upgrades, and maintenance for buildings and equipment (carpentry, electrical, mechanical, painting, plastering, drywalling, plumbing, HVAC)
- Additional duties may be assigned based on business needs
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- At least 1 year of related experience in facilities and fleet maintenance, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Some experience in building maintenance preferred (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
- Experience in fleet maintenance including small engines, heavy equipment, and light trucks
- Problem‑solving skills, ability to thrive under pressure in a fast‑paced environment, strong attention to detail, prioritization, time management, organizational skills, and positive goal‑oriented attitude
- Will obtain or be willing to obtain Forklift Operator certification and OSHA 30‑Hour certification (or ability to complete OSHA 30)
- Computer skills:
Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Slack, Jira or other management platforms and software preferred - Language skills: proficient English, both verbal and written
- Math skills: basic arithmetic
- Travel: occasional travel between buildings and sites
- Maintain and manage confidential information
- Must be 19 years of age or older (state regulations)
- Work Safe, Serv Safe or Food Handler’s Card preferred
- Must submit to a background check
- Must obtain all applicable state‑required permits, licenses, and certifications
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to pass Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) background check
Compensation: Competitive hourly wage of $25.00-$28.95/hr.
Paid holidays: 11 per year. PTO: 80 hours. 401(k). Fully paid health, dental, and vision insurance.
