Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:00pm

Position Summary: Directs institutional housekeeping program to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive conditions of establishment by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1-3 months of experience in housekeeping, environmental services.
  • Experience in healthcare, long-term care, or assisted living environment preferred.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to provide guidance and direction to team members when needed.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Establishes standards and procedures for work of housekeeping staff.
  • Establish standards and procedures for work of housekeeping staff.
  • Plans work schedules to ensure adequate service.
  • Make periodic inspections of public and resident areas.
  • Oversee the schedule of carpet shampooing so that all areas of carpets are cleaned as needed.
  • Orders supplies and equipment.
  • Investigate new and improved cleaning instruments and methods.
  • Responsible for the orientation and training of new housekeeping personnel in accordance with standards and policies of eliseo
  • Inspects work procedures of employees to ensure proper cleaning methods are being followed and check that cleaning agents are used in the prescribed manner and those employees are aware of hazards involved with each chemical they use.
  • Make sure housekeeping rooms are kept organized, neat and clean.
  • Cleans service areas, windows, stainless steel door panels, door casings, business office, boardroom, hallway walls and other miscellaneous cleaning as necessary.
  • Coordinates any annual cleaning programs for facility i.e. window washing.
  • Perform any other duties as requested by the Director of Environmental Services.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Directly supervises the Housekeeping Department.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Addresses complaints and resolve problems.
  • EVS lead will communicate directly with independent residents to coordinate housekeeping services, make necessary arrangements, and schedule cleaning that accommodate resident preferences and availability.

Upon acceptance of an offer, candidates must be able to pass a drug screen, reference checks and background check prior to starting work with eliseo.

Upon first day of hire, all staff are required to provide documentation of influenza vaccination (Seasonally for Influenza). Additionally, all staff will undergo tuberculosis testing upon their first day and annually.
