Part Time Multi-Family Housekeeper / JanitorialPart Time Manual Labor Bremerton Tacoma, WA, US
Salary Range: $20.00 To $25.00 Hourly
Position Summary- Cleans vacant apartments after move-outs in order to ensure units are in move-in condition.
- Notifies the maintenance team of any maintenance issues requiring attention.
- Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Responsible for daily cleaning and picking up trash on the property and common areas, which include but are not limited to the workout areas, laundry facilities, leasing office, elevators, clubhouse, guest suites, pool facilities and furniture, and public restrooms.
- Ensures work areas are neat and orderly after painting or when work orders have been completed.
- Ensures supplies are in stock and orders them when directed to do so.
- Assists office staff as needed with posting notices on resident doors.
- Communicates with supervisor regarding the status of work and issues that may arise.
- Prepares complimentary services such as snacks and drinks.
- Inspects buildings and grounds to ensure safety cleanliness, and alerts Maintenance to items that need to be repaired.
- Maintains compliance with the company’s policies and procedures and all applicable federal and state laws.
- Ensures excellent customer service to prospects and tenants, and promotes a quality living experience for all residents.
- Participates in Company-provided training such as fair housing, safety, non-discrimination, and harassment prevention.
- Complies with all Company National Standards, applicable health and safety rules and regulations, as well as applicable local, state, and federal laws.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 6 months of experience as a housekeeper or a similar position is preferred for this position.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to relate to others.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to use standard cleaning equipment, tools, and chemicals.
- Ability to use general office equipment such as key track system.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Comprehension of federal fair housing laws and any applicable local housing provisions.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to make quick and effective decisions.
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Ability to cope with and defuse situations involving angry or difficult people.
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain flexibility and creativity in a variety of situations.

- Must maintain a professional appearance and comply with prescribed uniform policy.
- Must comply with all safety regulations, including the use of back brace, safety goggles and gloves when appropriate.
- Ability to be at work on a regular and consistent basis;
Overtime may be required for this position. - Ability to work weekends and non-traditional holidays.
- May be required to be available to work on-call or when needed due to staffing shortages.
- Standing, walking and/or sitting for extended periods of time.
- Frequent climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Moderate handling, feeling, and smelling.
- Sustains substantially recurring movement to fingers, hands, wrists, legs, and feet.
- Pronounced visual acuity (near and far) and field of vision.
- Ability to judge distances and spatial relationships.
- Ability to identify and distinguish color.
- Ability to distinguish the differences or similarities in odors using nose.
- Ability to lift and/or move an excess of 50 pounds or more.
- Ability to use standard cleaning equipment.

- Ability to work under minimal to moderate supervision.
- Exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions (temperatures may vary depending on the weather in the different regions).
- Exposure to noise, vibrations, atmospheric conditions, as well as working in confined or restricted spaces.
- Potential exposure to communicable diseases through frequent contact with public.
- Possible exposure to short-tempered or aggressive people.
- Potential exposure to chemicals, electrical shock, heights, mechanical parts or machines, and fire.
