Job Overview

Operations Technician Sr. at Williams.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of tasks to safely maintain facility equipment and support pipeline operations, including applying technical standards and governmental requirements.
  • Carry out moderate to highly sophisticated technical assignments as prescribed by leadership, analyzing data to resolve issues.
  • Read and interpret drawings; draft operations and maintenance procedures.
  • Follow all company policies and applicable procedures.
  • Coordinate protection of community, personnel, environment and assets.
  • Oversee knowledge of site/location/equipment specific permits and compliance.
  • Complete assigned reports, logs and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Minimum six (6) years of demonstrated ability as an Operations Technician for similar equipment or facility (Operations Technician Sr.).
  • Preferred:
    Associate’s or 2‑year technical degree.
  • Preferred:
    Minimum six (6) years of multifaceted operations technician experience within a natural gas processing or compression facility.
  • Valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills.
  • Proficient / advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for embracing technology and applications to drive operational efficiency.
  • Excellent organizational/interpersonal skills with safety as the utmost priority.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
  • Work in extreme temperatures, loud noises, and enclosed spaces.
  • Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed.
  • Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat for long periods.
  • Work at elevated levels, including from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and small towers with appropriate PPE.
Shift/Work Hours/Travel
  • Available to work after hours, on‑call rotations, nights, weekends, and holidays as the need arises.
  • May be required to work overtime (10‑12 hour shifts) and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays.
Hourly Salary Range

$31 – $45 – $60 per hour.
