Join Pasha Logistics LLC as Manager, Shop, where you will lead the shop function responsible for maintaining warehouse equipment, yard assets, vehicles, and facility mechanical systems.
This role is responsible for directing daily shop workflow, managing preventive and corrective maintenance programs, overseeing parts and vendor activity, supporting safety and compliance, and leading Shop Mechanics. You will play a key role in maximizing equipment uptime, minimizing service disruptions, and supporting safe, reliable, and efficient freight operations.
Lead Daily Shop Operations & Maintenance WorkflowKeep equipment, assets, and facility systems operating safely, reliably, and on schedule.
- Oversee Maintenance Operations: Lead daily maintenance activities for forklifts, yard trucks, material handling equipment, and facility mechanical systems.
- Prioritize Work Orders: Plan, schedule, and track work orders, preventive maintenance, service calls, and repair activity using a maintenance tracking system.
- Diagnose Complex Issues: Troubleshoot mechanical problems and direct or perform advanced repairs as needed.
- Support Operational Schedules: Partner with Operations teams to align maintenance windows with inbound and outbound schedules to reduce service impacts.
- Maintain Shop Tools and Equipment: Oversee shop tools, test equipment, calibration routines, equipment certifications, and required recertifications.
Build strong maintenance programs that reduce downtime and improve operational throughput.
- Lead Preventive Maintenance Programs: Manage PM schedules and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment availability and reliability.
- Manage Parts Inventory: Oversee parts room operations, inventory levels, reorder points, and usage tracking to support timely repairs.
- Coordinate Vendor Services: Manage vendor work, negotiate quotes, and verify workmanship, invoicing, timing, and scope against business needs.
- Oversee Repairs and Fabrication: Support welding, light fabrication, equipment modifications, and durable repairs that improve safety and performance.
- Improve Service Reliability: Lead continuous improvement initiatives that streamline workflows, reduce rework, and improve shop productivity.
Promote safe shop practices, accurate records, and audit‑ready maintenance documentation.
- Lead Safety Practices: Conduct safety trainings, inspections, and coaching to reinforce safe work behaviors across shop activities.
- Maintain Compliance Records: Keep inspection, maintenance, incident, OSHA, and applicable regulatory documentation accurate and audit‑ready.
- Support Incident Investigations: Assist with investigations related to equipment damage, near misses, or injuries and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor Maintenance Quality: Set expectations for repair quality, documentation accuracy, and compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
- Manage Risk Proactively: Identify shop risks, service gaps, and equipment concerns before they impact safety or operations.
Lead people, resources, and performance to support efficient shop operations.
- Manage Shop Budget: Prepare and manage budgets related to parts, tooling, vendor spend, capital needs, and refurbishment proposals.
- Track Shop Performance: Establish and monitor key performance indicators, reporting status, risks, and action plans to leadership.
- Lead Shop Mechanics: Manage labor planning, scheduling, timekeeping, performance feedback, coaching, and development for Shop Mechanics and temporary labor.
