Position Description
Perform a variety of duties necessary to maintain all aspects of the track facility with special emphasis on event preparation, track rentals and on‑site activities. The role supports preparing the facility in the weeks prior to event weekends in April and October.
Responsibilities- Operate equipment of all types (tractor, dirt compactor, backhoe, water truck, power/hand tools, fork lift, dump truck sweeper) as directed by the Manager of Facility Operations and maintain equipment as required.
- Communicate, manage, and work directly with track vendors and contractors.
- Hang and dismantle signage, banners, and other promotional materials as needed.
- Dig ditches using shovel, trencher or backhoe.
- Maintain landscaped areas to achieve desired appearance of the facility.
- Clean grounds, including removal of trash and litter year‑round.
- Repair tools, water lines, fences, gates, walls, walkways, buildings and perform general maintenance as directed.
- Paint track walls, fences, concrete barriers, grounds and buildings utilizing ladders, lifts and scaffolding as directed.
- Interact positively with other facilities staff to ensure tasks are completed satisfactorily.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, adapting manual skill level to a variety of areas and seeing tasks through to completion.
- Minimum age 18 years old.
- High School Graduate or GED.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Successfully pass a driving record check.
- (Preferred) Experience operating heavy equipment.
Physical Requirements
Work performed in environments with a wide range of temperature and weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. The role requires extended periods of standing and walking, frequent lifting and carrying of objects up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds, and climbing of extension ladders, stairs, ramps, and access to ditches.
