We are hiring an HVAC Estimator and Take-off Specialist to accurately analyze mechanical plans and support manufacturing with precise material and labor estimates.
This contract position in Tallassee, AL requires a detail-oriented professional to perform take-offs from commercial mechanical and architectural drawings, identify necessary HVAC components, and prepare accurate bills of materials and price quotes. Collaboration with sales and production teams is essential to ensure project specifications are met and manufacturing errors are avoided.

Contract - PAYRATE: $24.00hr
- Perform comprehensive take-offs from commercial mechanical (M-series) and architectural drawings.
- Cross-reference HVAC unit model numbers (Carrier, Trane, Lennox, etc.) with specific curb/adapter footprints.
- Calculate material requirements including sheet metal gauge and insulation, and labor to provide competitive, accurate customer quotes.
- Collaborate with sales and production teams to ensure custom-manufactured parts meet project specifications.
- Maintain organized records of quotes and project details within internal tracking systems.
- 2+ years in construction estimating, HVAC parts distribution, or sheet metal fabrication.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and construction drafts.
- Basic understanding of HVAC equipment and commercial roofing terminology.
- Ability to detect small discrepancies in prints that could lead to manufacturing errors.
- Experience with take-off software (e.g., Bluebeam, Plan Swift) is a major plus.
