Dry Dock Helper

Must Have The Following In Order To Apply

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Understanding of HAZHOPER and HAZWAPER rules and regulations
• Knowledge of Gas Freeing, pumping liquids, block setting and docking procedures

The Dry Dock Helper ensures that the proper tools, equipment and manpower are prepared prior to dry dock operations.

• Performs dry dock and maintenance work.
• Duties may include cleaning, washing and painting vessels, lubricating parts and others.
• Operating forklift for shifting blocks and other equipment for docking vessels.
• Ensures the safety rules and regulations are being followed in all work.
• Collaborate with the foremen on materials and equipment status.
• Work in confined spaces.
• Use, select and install conventional and nonconventional fall protection equipment.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
