Overview

Job Title: Project Management Specialist
Location: Tampa, FL (Onsite)
Duration: 6+ Month contract with possible extension
Visa: USC & GC Only

Responsibilities
  • Log and report your time accurately.
  • Follow directives from supervisor and team leaders.
  • Communication is key; you are expected to use the phone and email system to communicate across the agency.
  • Compliance with CFOP 40-2 Vehicle Management, maintain your state vehicle and other state vehicles, and submit the monthly logs in a timely manner.
  • Assist with internal and external moves for the department.
  • Make keys for employees who request them and manage a log of who has one.
  • Manage the keycard system for several sites.
  • Dispose of surplus materials and furniture in accordance with CFOP 80-2.
  • Supply employees with furniture and desks as needed.
  • Install whiteboards, cork boards and pictures across the region in offices and hallways.
  • Ensure you always arrive at a site prepared with hand dollies and the necessary tools to get the job done; be responsible for equipment/tools issued to you.
  • Assist IT with equipment moves and during large moves.
  • Use the correct hand dollies to move very large and heavy items such as filing cabinets and desks, following CFOP 215-4 Safety & Loss Control.
  • Verify all facilities are operating properly (AC, lights, etc.) so employees can work comfortably.
  • Learn many different areas, know where to go, and who to see; GPS is your friend.
  • At each site, introduce yourself professionally and provide a business card. Creating a directory will help you maintain a point of contact for the sites you visit.
  • Maintain the warehouse and keep it neat and tidy; keep all aisles clear where possible.
  • When ordering supplies or requesting a PO for keys, act promptly because the process can take time. Never authorize services without a purchase order.
  • When the state of Florida is impacted by a hurricane, assist with Disaster Management to prepare facilities and assets for the event and recovery efforts.
  • Ensure all sites have no safety issues before leaving; address any safety issues immediately.
  • If someone trespasses on state property, ask them to leave; if they refuse, call 911 and inform the appropriate contacts.
  • Transfer surplus IT equipment to the Wildwood warehouse.
  • Conduct site inspections as directed across the region.
