Description
Inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles and make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling, and mechanical systems.
Job DetailsLocation: Tampa International Airport, TPA
Pay: $19.00/hour - $24.00/hour
- Inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles and make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling and mechanical systems.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual quality control checks on the refueling equipment.
- Maintain records relating to maintenance.
- Drive and operate refueling equipment vehicles.
- Ensure our aircraft services team can operate effectively by providing proper preventative care to equipment and timely repairs to broken equipment.
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment, in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures.
- Assure a clean and safe working environment.
- Other duties and tasks as required.
- Take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and others affected by their actions or omissions while at work.
- Be fully versed in International Aviation Safety and Security standards and promote them within the organization.
- Co‑operate with their manager/supervisor to comply with any legal requirements.
- Do not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse any equipment provided by the company in the interests of health, safety, or welfare.
- Inform the manager/supervisor of any work situation, equipment or activity that represents a serious or immediate danger to health and safety.
- Report any hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences to the manager/supervisor, who will then follow the procedures contained in this manual.
- Carry out work in accordance with the information and training provided and any specific workplace health and safety rules or procedures.
- Fully understand the company health and safety policy.
- Attend training courses as may be arranged by the Company.
- 3 to 5 years of mechanical experience
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must pass pre‑employment drug screening.
- Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
- Comfortable lifting/moving 70 lbs.
- Available and flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions.
- Pass background check and obtain Customs seal.
- Obtain and maintain all required airport and Customs badges/seals.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED, or one to three months related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
