Custodian

We are looking for a Custodian who can maintains an attractive, sanitary and safe facility for students, staff and public at district facilities; provides equipment and furniture arrangements for meetings, classroom activities and events; and minimizes property damage, loss and liability exposure.

• Education:
  
  High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certificates & Licenses:
  None required.
• Experience:
  
  Job related experience is required.
• Working Environment:
  The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 5% sitting, 70% walking, and 25% standing. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and in some hazardous conditions.

• Arranges furnishings and equipment
• Cleans assigned school facilities
• Maintains supplies and equipment
• Prepares facility for daily operations as may be required (e.g. opening gates, raising flags, sweep/shovel/remove snow and sand walks, building access doors, etc.) to ensure facilities are operational and safe for occupancy.
• Responds to immediate safety and/or operational concerns (facility damage, injuries, and alarms)
• Secures facilities and grounds (e.g. lock doors, turn off lights, take down flags, etc.)
• Performs other related duties, as assigned, to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

• Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance
• Tuberculosis Skin Test

• Proof of COVID vaccination. Exemptions for religious/medical will be reviewed.
• Must follow safety and health protocols.
