On-Call Transfer Driver; Tampa, FL

Job Summary

This role operates on an on‑call, as‑needed basis during standard business hours. Drivers must be available, reachable by phone, and prepared to report to the designated location with short notice when assignments are scheduled. Work is not guaranteed each day, and hours will fluctuate based on business demand; flexibility and responsiveness are essential.

• Fill in receipt and intake paperwork electronically.
• Transport U‑Haul equipment between U‑Haul centers, dealerships, and the repair shop.
• Perform visual inspections of equipment.
• Assist in additional areas as directed by a supervisor.

• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to use mobile transfer programs.
• D.O.T. certification if required – U‑Haul can sponsor.

The work requires some physical exertion, including long periods indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. (assisted or unassisted). Protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields may be required.
