Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Responsibilities
- Communicate with or to individuals or groups verbally and or in writing to customers, suppliers, associates
- Complete work orders, records, logs and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment including lift trucks, pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, banana room equipment, electronic and electrical equipment according to procedures
- Operate material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery and other powered equipment
- Clean and maintain grounds, parking lots, fencing and building facilities, including bathrooms and plumbing
- Change industrial batteries for all types of power equipment, including removal and replacement of battery retention plates
- Maintain, inspect, clean and repair industrial equipment batteries according to procedures, such as tips, contacts, cables
- Assist other maintenance technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment
- Troubleshoot basic problems with equipment where the repair is visible or obvious

Hourly WageThe hourly wage range for this position is $33.65 - $37.15. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
