U-Haul is seeking a Mobile Repair Specialist to keep its fleet of trucks and trailers maintained. The role involves diagnosing and repairing equipment on the field, ensuring timely service, and following U‑Haul standards.
Primary Responsibilities- Repair equipment using the appropriate tools to conform to U‑Haul standards.
- Perform work in a timely manner.
- Determine the causes of operating errors and decide appropriate corrective action.
- Continue U‑Haul equipment education as required.
- Establish an effective repair route within the assigned area, ensuring all down or inoperable equipment is repaired or scheduled for repair.
- Maintain inventory of repair parts and ensure all parts used are charged out.
- Assist in additional areas as necessary, following supervisor directives.
- Self‑starter who can work without supervision.
- Positive attitude.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools.
- Understanding of automotive/trailer mechanics.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain a clean driving record.

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts requiring special safety precautions, such as working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or chemicals. Protective clothing or gear (masks, goggles, gloves, shields) may be required.
Physical DemandsThe job requires physical exertion, including long periods indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs (assisted or unassisted).
