Facility Support Specialist

• Pay: $21.00‑$24.00/hr

• Cleaning and Sanitizing
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks in designated areas including offices, common spaces, restrooms, and other high‑traffic areas.
  • Use cleaning supplies and equipment in accordance with safety protocols and manufacturer instructions.
  • Disinfect high‑touch surfaces, ensuring proper dwell times to maintain hygiene across the facility.
  • Vacuum, sweep, mop, and scrub floors as needed.
  • Report any maintenance issues or damage related to flooring or surfaces.
• Waste Management
  • Collect and properly dispose of trash and recyclables in designated containers.
  • Monitor waste receptacles, replace liners as needed, and ensure proper waste segregation.
  • Follow all waste handling procedures and applicable safety regulations.
  • Promptly elevate concerns regarding contamination or hazardous materials.
• Restroom Maintenance
  • Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, walls, mirrors, counters, partitions, and fixtures.
  • Replenish restroom supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
  • Verify that dispensers are functional and stocked.
• Stocking and Inventory
  • Monitor and maintain par levels of cleaning supplies and materials.
  • Track inventory and submit restock requests promptly, noting shortages or backorders.
  • Disinfect high‑touch points regularly to reduce cross‑contamination.
• Collaboration
  • Coordinate with other Facility team members to ensure thorough cleaning coverage.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and other departments to address specific cleaning or maintenance needs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Adherence to Policies
  • Follow established cleaning protocols and scheduled routines.
  • Comply with all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).

High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Strong work ethic, dependability, and attention to detail.
• Prior experience in environmental services, custodial, or janitorial roles preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to company SOPs.
• Physical ability to perform tasks involving bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Knowledge of proper handling, storage, and disposal of cleaning chemicals, including adherence to SDS and PPE standards.
