Janitor, Maintenance​/Cleaning, Facility Maintenance

Description

Under general supervision, perform tasks to ensure proper janitorial and light maintenance of production and office areas.

• Responsible for cleaning/sanitizing the production area, including equipment, break room, restroom and office area of the Lab
• Mop or sweep production area and office areas
• Responsible for stripping, mopping and buffing production floors
• Dispose of all trash bins in designated receptacles including recycling receptacles
• Perform minor equipment and facility repairs
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Monitor and maintain janitorial/maintenance supplies
• Operate company equipment in a safe manner. Report any vehicle problems and defects to Department Lead. Maintain a good driving record.
• Other duties as assigned

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

• One to two years of experience in janitorial/light maintenance.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced environment
• Ability to read and write at a level necessary to accomplish the above tasks
• Ability to perform physical activities requiring bending, kneeling and pulling/pushing
• Valid drivers license, clean DMV printout is required
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Ability to walk or stand up to 100% of the time

The working environment is generally favorable, lighting and temperature is adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust etc.
