- Job Title:
Overnight Street Sweeper (CDL‑B) – Full‑Time - Location:
Tampa, FL - Hours:
3rd Shift - Compensation: $20 / Hour
- Travel:
Minimal (1‑10%)
As our next Street Sweeper, you’ll take ownership of assigned routes, drive the street sweeper, and operate specialized equipment to keep streets clean and well‑maintained. Your daily actions directly improve public safety and environmental quality.
Job Responsibilities- Route Execution:
Review routes in advance, ask clarifying questions as needed, and complete assigned work on time with attention to quality. - Safety & Inspect:
Perform mandatory pre‑ and post‑trip inspections to ensure the equipment is safe and operational before work. - Equipment & Material Handling:
Operate equipment safely and efficiently, follow traffic laws and site protocols, and handle materials according to disposal and safety procedures. - Reporting & Documentation:
Report equipment issues, incidents, or safety concerns immediately and accurately complete required logs and paperwork. - Professional Communication:
Represent the company professionally and communicate effectively with supervisors, teammates, and clients. - Adaptability & Reliability:
Respond to changing conditions, solve problems as they arise, and maintain consistent, predictable attendance.
Job Requirements
- Education:
High School or GED - Experience:
1 year DOT driving experience – waste & recycling services preferred - License: CDL‑B & DOT Medical Card
- Age:
Must be at least 21 years of age - Compliance:
Must maintain an acceptable driving record and successfully pass an MVR check, background check, and drug screening in accordance with company policy and applicable law.
- Safety & Compliance Focus:
Follow safety procedures, conduct inspections, operate equipment responsibly, and comply with all traffic, site, and regulatory requirements. - Operational Execution & Reliability:
Plan routes, complete work efficiently and accurately, adapt to changing conditions, and maintain dependable attendance. - Communication & Issue Reporting:
Communicate with supervisors and teammates, represent the company professionally, and promptly report issues.

Outdoor work with exposure to weather, traffic, loud noise, dust/debris, and occasional chemicals. - Physical Demands:
Frequent sitting and walking/standing; occasional bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs at varying heights. - Cognitive & Sensory Requirements:
Continuous reading, screen use, mental focus, self‑control, and hand‑eye coordination. - Equipment & Tools:
