Key Responsibilities:Office Space, Laboratory, Restrooms, Kitchen(Breakroom), Production, and Warehouse Areas
- Bi-weekly cleaning and sanitization of office, laboratory, restroom, kitchen, and warehouse spaces on a regimented schedule.
- Removing waste and emptying trash.
- Washing, drying and putting away glassware utensils & miscellaneous equipment in lab & production areas.
- Sweeping and mopping of the facility’s floors.
- Perform routine cleaning/sanitizing/disinfecting throughout the facility.
- Maintaining a high level of cleanliness conforming to existing and future standards related to certification guidelines.
- Responsible for reporting safety issues to an immediate supervisor.
- Responsible for completing cleaning paperwork and logs.
- Responsible to fully understand and demonstrate safe and proper handling and disposal of cleaning/disinfecting/sanitization solutions used within the facility.
- Works collaboratively with lab, quality control, quality assurance and facility staff to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned/required by their immediate supervisor.
- Must have the ability to read, write and understand English and have legible handwriting.
- 6+ months of janitorial and/or day porter support experience in a commercial setting.
- Successful candidates will be reliable, have strong attention to detail, be flexible in scheduling on occasion and are able to work independently.
- The ability to identify and use cleaning solutions and chemicals.
- The ability to push or pull housekeeping carts throughout the facility.
- Must be capable of operating necessary equipment safely in order to satisfy job requirements.
- Experience in a food preparation/manufacturing facility desired.
- A High school degree or GED with a minimum of 6+ months experience in commercial/lab setting cleaning.
Primarily Monday-Friday hours are flexible to accommodate production and lab schedules. Weekends or weeknight work occasionally required depending on production schedule or process needs.
