Janitor/Custodian - Tarboro, NC

Air Distribution Technologies is seeking a Custodian / Facilities Associate to join our ASC facility in Tarboro, North Carolina. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work environment throughout the facility, supporting production operations and employee safety. The position ensures that common areas, restrooms, and production spaces meet company cleanliness, sanitation, and operational standards.

• Maintain break rooms, restrooms, and common areas in a clean, sanitary, and organized condition
• Clean production floor areas, hallways, and work spaces using automated floor sweepers and manual methods as needed
• Empty trash, scrap, and cardboard containers, and prepare materials for recycling using proper equipment
• Restock supplies including paper towels, soap, toilet paper, and air fresheners
• Support general housekeeping efforts across the facility to maintain safety and operational efficiency
• Follow all safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns to leadership
• Assist with additional facility support duties as assigned

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, including safety guidelines and procedures
• Ability to perform basic tasks involving counting, measuring, and material handling
• Basic computer skills preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean environment
• Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled hours, including overtime when needed

• Prior experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or custodial environment
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers or sweepers
• Experience working in a team-based industrial setting

This position operates in a manufacturing environment at the Tarboro facility. Employees are regularly exposed to moving equipment, noise, and industrial conditions. The role requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and performing repetitive motion tasks throughout the shift.

Physical requirements include regularly lifting up to 25 pounds, frequently lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lifting up to 100 pounds. The position may involve exposure to dust, vibration, cleaning chemicals, and other industrial elements.

High School or better.
