Position Overview
The Facilities Supervisor, under the direction of the Facilities Manager, is responsible for coordinating and supporting maintenance activities related to the company’s facilities, equipment, and parts.
Key Accountabilities- Prioritize maintenance and repair activities for company grounds, equipment, and parts.
- Assist with the maintenance, testing, and repair of facility systems, including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, structural, and carpentry work.
- Operate and support material handling equipment, fire protection systems, hazardous waste processes, and sanitation equipment.
- Support safety initiatives and ensure compliance with OSHA and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations; participate in emergency response as needed.
- Maintain efficient repair schedules and review repair cost estimates for accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate and oversee work performed by external vendors and contractors.
- Monitor and manage spare parts inventory to ensure adequate supply levels.
- Ensure all facility vehicles are clean, fueled, and maintained in proper working condition.
- Partner with the Safety Department to implement and uphold safety policies and procedures.
- Remain available for on-call support as required.
- Material handling equipment, building maintenance, fire systems, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications and schematics.
- Effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Experience with budget management.
- High School Diploma required; bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years related experience required.
- Must have knowledge of general maintenance and functions of all equipment.
