Wind River Environmental is seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined Plant Operator I to join our wastewater treatment operations team in Taunton, MA.

Shift: Part-Time with 1st and 2nd Shift Flexibility
What You'll Do
As a Plant Operator I, you will work alongside experienced operators while developing the skills needed to independently operate wastewater treatment processes and equipment.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and operating wastewater, sludge, and FOG treatment systems
- Observing plant conditions and making process adjustments as directed
- Monitoring control panels, gauges, meters, and instrumentation
- Performing routine laboratory testing including TSS, COD, pH, conductivity, and related analyses
- Maintaining accurate plant logs, reports, and operational records
- Assisting with receiving and processing incoming waste streams
• Monitoring pumps, valves, blowers, boilers, and related process equipment - Identifying potential equipment or process issues and assisting with troubleshooting and repairs
- Supporting plant maintenance, housekeeping, and operational excellence initiatives
- Ensuring all work is performed safely and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

Qualifications
- Valid and current Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator certification recognized by the state DEP
- Valid driver's license
• Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of pumps, valves, blowers, hydraulics, or similar equipment - Ability to perform laboratory testing and maintain accurate documentation
• Basic math and computer skills (Word, Excel) - Ability to pass a drug screen and physical examination
- Ability to obtain confined space entry and forklift certifications if not already certified

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $22.00 - $25.00 hourly at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
