MH Maintenance Mechanic

Summary

The hospital maintenance mechanic is expected to perform a variety of duties, including operating and maintaining stationary engines and mechanical equipment such as boilers, compressors, generators, and air handling equipment. • Maintain and assure the proper operation of boilers, air handling systems, emergency generators, and closed‑loop systems.
• Perform safety testing as required for mechanical systems.
• Carry out repairs and maintenance activities requested by work orders.
• Complete all documentation accurately and within the required time period, achieving a 95% work order completion rate.
• Conduct corrective and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment.
• Store tools properly and leave the area clean and orderly after each task.
• Report all equipment abnormalities to the assigned supervisor.
• Cover vacation, sick, and holiday duties for other maintenance staff.
• Interpret schematics, blueprints, and codes for the equipment maintained.
• Diagnose and repair air handling equipment using the correct tools according to manufacturer recommendations and repair manuals.
• Perform duties in a manner that minimally disrupts hospital operations.
• Adhere to OSHA, JCAHO, and other compliance rules while documenting and maintaining maintenance logs.

• Complete work assignments within an acceptable time frame.

• Prefer at least two years of experience in HVAC‑related maintenance.

Class 2 Boiler operator’s license or certificate preferred.

Pay Range: $32.19–$32.19
