Housekeeper​/Janitor- Taylorville, IL

Day Shift | Every Other Weekend Required

High Point Residence Taylorville is seeking a dependable and detail-orientedHousekeeper/Janitor to join our team. In this role, you will help ensure our community remains clean, safe, and welcoming for residents, families, visitors, and team members.

You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of resident common areas, hallways, dining rooms, restrooms, offices, and other community spaces while contributing to a comfortable and positive living environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Experience working in a senior living, healthcare, or hospitality setting
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, sanitation procedures, and proper storage practices
• Experience operating housekeeping equipment, including vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners

• Clean and sanitize common areas, resident spaces, hallways, restrooms, dining rooms, offices, and other assigned areas
• Follow infection control, safety, and sanitation standards
• Maintain housekeeping supplies and ensure equipment is clean and in good working order
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or repair needs promptly
• Assist with resident room preparation for move-ins and move-outs
• Provide courteous and respectful service to residents, families, and visitors
• Work collaboratively with other departments to maintain a welcoming community environment
