A Day in the LifeJob Specific Summary
At our Tempe Campus, you’ll support mission‑critical facilities that enable life‑saving innovation and manufacturing. As a Facilities Maintenance Technician III, you’ll play a key role in sustaining a safe, reliable, and inclusive work environment. This role is fully onsite in Tempe.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems in a cleanroom and production facility
- Work within RODI Systems
- Troubleshoot complex systems and collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) teams
- Respond to urgent building system alarms and prioritize work orders based on safety, production, and compliance needs
- Maintain and document equipment records using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
- Ensure all tasks comply with OSHA, Medtronic EHS standards, FDA regulations, and cGMP guidelines
- Support facilities projects including equipment upgrades, utility installs, and space reconfigurations
- Mentor and guide junior technicians as needed
- Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace
First shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, M‑F) with flexibility to occasionally cover other shifts (2nd, 3rd and/or weekends) as needed.
Must Haves2+ years of Facilities/HVAC experience
Nice to Have- Experience with commercial or industrial HVAC, plumbing, mechanical systems, or electrical systems
- Knowledge and experience working with RODI Systems
- Ability to read blueprints, technical schematics, and operating manuals
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (semiconductor, medical device, pharmaceutical, aerospace, etc.)
- Working knowledge of building automation systems (e.g., Siemens, Honeywell)
- Familiarity with cleanroom protocols or ISO‑classified environments
- EPA 608 Universal Certification or equivalent
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Benefits & CompensationCompetitive salary range: $51,200.00 – $76,800.00 (USD). This position is eligible for a short‑term incentive (Medtronic Incentive Plan). Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance;
